Older Americans Month Celebration 2018: Engage At Every Age

The Area Agency on Aging along with numerous Community Partners is hosting the Older Americans Month Celebration on Friday, May 4th, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Region 16 Education Conference Center 5800 S. Bell in Amarillo, TX.

This celebration will begin with Amarillo’s Mayor Ginger Nelson reading the proclamation for Older Americans Month and honoring four of our Outstanding Panhandle seniors who have made significant contributions to their community.

The celebration will then transition to a fun game highlighting community resource education and engagement called “The Engagement Game.” Participants can win door prizes throughout the game, and throughout the day.

Then breakout sessions will commence with specific subjects to educate and inform our participants of ways to stay ENGAGED!

Registration is required for the event. Breakfast snacks and lunch will be provided and is graciously donated by Accolade Home Health & Hospice and The Craig.

There is no cost for this event. Please register no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018.

Register for the event by calling the Area Agency on Aging at 806-331-2227 or by emailing lhancock@theprpc.orglhancock@theprpc.org
