Police investigate body found in Oklahoma cemetery

BACHE, Okla. (AP) — Officials are investigating a homicide after a body was found at an eastern Oklahoma cemetery.

KOCO-TV reports Pittsburg County Sheriff Chris Morris says the unidentified man’s corpse was discovered Thursday morning on a roadway at the Red Oak Cemetery in Bache, near McAlester and about 130 miles southeast of Oklahoma City. Morris says a cemetery visitor found the man, who appears to have been between 40 and 55 years old.

Authorities believe the body was dumped at the cemetery overnight.
