Oklahoma man air-lifted to Amarillo following Beaver County crash

One person is airlifted to an Amarillo hospital following a crash in Beaver County.

It happened just after noon on County Road 140, about 14 miles south of Beaver, Oklahoma.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 35-year-old man from Elmwood, Oklahoma was driving north on County Road 140, when he drove into the ditch and rolled, coming to a stop on the roof.

Officials said the driver’s arm was pinned through the windshield under the front of the vehicle for about three hours and 45 minutes until it was freed by the Beaver Fire Department.

Troopers told us he was air-lifted to Amarillo with internal, leg, and arm injuries, but is stable.

Officials said the driver was drunk and was not using his seatbelt. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
