OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Prosecutors in Oklahoma County have charged a 36-year-old woman accused of causing an alcohol-related crash in which a 12-year-old passenger was killed with manslaughter and other counts.
Court records indicate that Sheena Clemons of Shawnee was charged on Thursday with first-degree manslaughter, causing an accident resulting in great bodily injury while driving under the influence a. The records don’t indicate if she has an attorney.
The Oklahoman reports that the fatal collision occurred on April 20. A probable cause affidavit alleges that Clemons was driving with six passengers, including five children, when she failed to stop for a stop sign at an intersection in Oklahoma City.
An oncoming vehicle struck Clemons’ car, causing it to flip. A 12-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
