AMARILLO READS:  Bark After Dark

Join us for a family-friendly movie on the library lawn and meet some pets who are looking for a new home.  We’ll be showing the Texas Archive of the Moving Image (TAMI)’s Puppy Reel—a collection of canine-centric Texas commercials, clips, and snippets rescued from the archive—followed byBolt, starring John Travolta and Miley Cyrus.  Activities from the Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department begin at 6 and the film starts at dusk.

AMARILLO READS:  Adopt-a-Thon with Lost Pets of Amarillo

Join us for dog-themed activities and meet some great pets who would love to be part of your family!  We’re delighted to welcome as a special guest, Tugg the Bull Terrier, star of the comic book series, Tugg: A Hero Among Us!  Tugg was rescued as a puppy and now helps raise awareness for rescue animals and various social issues, including anti-bullying and self esteem.
