No Criminal Charges After Man Dies at Homer’s Backyard Ball

There will be no criminal charges after a man dies at Homer’s Backyard Ball.

A grand jury decided Michael Glen Wilcox’s pre-existing heart conditions played a role in his death.

Wilcox was involved in an altercation at the music festival in May which led to him being hit with a stun gun by a security guard.

He was taken to the ground and that’s when he stopped breathing.

Potter County District Attorney Randall Sims tells us a thorough investigation of all of the security guards involved, the witnesses, and hearing from the doctor led to the decision that no crime happened.

As of this afternoon, there have been no civil lawsuits filed against Travis Homer or Homer’s Backyard Ball.
