Pampers is now making its smallest diaper ever for the smallest of premature babies in the NICU unit.
It’s the first diaper from a major diaper brand specifically designed for babies weighing as little as one pound.
The design is the result of three years and 10,000 hours of research with the help of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurses who will no longer have to cut or fold larger diapers to find the right fit for the smallest of preemie babies.
The diaper will be available in hospitals across the US by the end of the year.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 517,000 premature babies are born in the US each year.
