Nazareth High School is also raising awareness about the dangers of drunk and distracted driving.
The high school hosted Unite’s Arrive Alive tour this afternoon.
Arrive Alive tour is a high-tech simulator along with other resources to educate the public about those dangers.
The simulator allows people to experience the potential consequences of distracted and impaired driving in a controlled environment.
“Texting and driving, drinking and driving, I fell these are both things where people have it in their mind that these sort of things won’t happen to them and that they can control the situation,” said Mallory McKenzie, Simulator Operator, “but in actuality, everyone is going to do poorly under these circumstances.”
The National Safety Council reports that cell phone use while driving leads to more than one and a half million crashes each year.
