Uber, Lyft cars have unaddressed safety recalls

More safety concerns surrounding ride-share companies Uber and Lyft this time stemming from the safety of the actual cars themselves.

Consumer reports examined ride-sharing cars in New York City and Seattle.

The study finds roughly one in six of the cars serving as an Uber or Lyft had quote “unaddressed safety defects.”

Including deadly airbags and glaring technical problems which could result in certain cars catching fire.

Consumer reports officials say both Uber and Lyft need to do more to ensure the cars their drivers operate are safe.
