It’s a crib accessory many parents use today and something we probably had as kids but now two New York state lawmakers are on a mission to ban bumper pads from your baby’s crib.
The bumper pads are typically sold as part of a crib bedding set and are used to cover the spacing between the bars of a baby’s crib.
But New York senator David Carlucci and State Assemblywoman Amy Paulin believe the pads are putting baby’s lives at risk.
They want the democrat-controlled legislature to ban the sale of the pads in New York state saying a baby could suffocate if they fall asleep with their nose or mouth pressed against pad.
