NASA is developing the world’s first all-electric aircraft

NASA wants to save the planet with a new type of plane.

The space agency is funding research to develop the world’s first electric aircraft.

Engineers at the University of Illinois are exploring the option of liquid hydrogen fuel cells to power airplanes.

The project aims to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by switching from fossil fuels to a clean energy source.

This would be the first time hydrogen cells are used to operate aircraft.

Nasa plans to provide six million dollars to the program over a three year period.

If successful, experts say the eco-friendly technology could revolutionize the aviation industry.
