DPS is reporting that 52-year-old Larry Jobe died at the scene of the crash.
Jobe was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on SL-335, approximately 2 miles north of Amarillo.
A truck traveling northbound on Whitaker Road stopped at the stop sign at Whitaker Road and SL-335 and attempted to cross over the eastbound lanes of SL-335. The driver failed to yield right of way to Jobe on the motorcycle.
Jobe was unable to avoid the collision and crashed into the front driver’s side of the pickup truck.
Jobe was pronounced dead on scene by Potter County Justice of the Peace, Thomas Jones.
The driver and passenger in the truck were not injured.
Jobe was not wearing his helmet.
The road conditions were dry and no other vehicles were involved.
