Missing California Teen Found in Potter County

AMARILLO — A traffic stop this morning led to the arrest of a supsect and the recovery of a missing 16-year-old from California. 

The teen has been missing since June 11. 

A Potter County Highway Interdiction Officer pulled over 47-year-old Max Kozak on I-40 just before 11 a.m. 

Kozak is booked into the Potter County Detention Center on an outstanding warrant.

Kern County Sheriff’s Office says detectives are in route to Amarillo to interview both people.
