Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm Begins for Eighth Year

Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm
If you are a fan of chuckin’ pumpkins, or firing a corn cannon, or a fun walk through a giant maze, then Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm is the place for you.
Larry Borger, the farm owner says, “It’s a great day, we’re so thankful for the sun coming back out after the rain. Just a great crowd, lots of stuff going on, lots of activities for everybody; kids, families, grandmas, granddads. It’s just a lot of fun.”
Borger started the event eight years ago on a whim.
He says, “Just kind of saw it in another town, I grew up in Amarillo and i thought, “Man, it would be great to do something like that here.” We just kind of decided to start off small with a five acre pumpkin patch and had a pretty good turn out. Then just kind of grew it up a little bit from there.”
And you can’t forget the farm’s center piece.
Ricky Black an event volunteer says,”of course we have our huge corn maze behind me, in the shape of the affiliated trucks. Just a fun activities for them, for people to go through, for family time to come out enjoy the day and enjoy themselves.”
