Man Rescued From Quicksand

News

(KPNX) A Mesa, Arizona man says he’s grateful to be alive after he was rescued from quicksand in Utah’s Zion National Park Saturday.

Ryan Osmun was hiking with his girlfriend when she got stuck in the quicksand. He was able to pull her out, but got his own leg stuck in the process.

Osmun quickly realized he was in trouble.

“The only things I could think of was that I didn’t care if I was going to lose my leg, I just wanted to see Jessika and my family again,” he says.

Osmun couldn’t get free, and with no other options, McNeill hiked more than four hours to call for help.
