The suspect, identified as 34 year old Mathew James Baker, was arrested after being treated.
Detectives obtained a warrant charging Baker with Murder, a first-degree felony.
The complaint charging Baker alleges that Baker went to Thorvalsden's apartment, barged in and began shooting at Thorvalsden in front of a witness.
Based on the gunshot wound Baker received, it is believed that Thorvalsden returned fire, striking Baker.
