Man Arrested After Allsups Robbery and Murder in Pampa

PAMPA - Pampa Police discovered a body and made an arrest while executing a search warrant for a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery at Allsups yesterday.

Police say the search warrant was executed at the suspect's possible residence in the 500 block of N. Wynne just after midnight this morning.

The suspect was not located but during the search of the home, officers say they discovered the deceased body of an unidentified male subject.

The body was sent to Lubbock for an autopsy.

Shortly after, Pampa police tell us, members of the Pampa Police Department and Gray County SWAT team executed a search warrant just after 5:00 am in the 1100 block of Ripley.

23 year-old Aaron Zachary Sackett of Pampa was taken into custody and charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in relation to the assault at Allsups yesterday morning.

During the investigation and interviews by police detectives, police say Sackett confessed to killing the unidentified male.

He has also been charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.

The investigation is on-going.
