Good news for diabetics insulin prices may be going down.
The drug manufacturer Eli Lilly and Co is announcing plans to sell a half-price version of its popular insulin injection Humalog.
This comes as the company, along with other major drugmakers, are under fire over the rising cost of insulin.
In January, a study found the cost of insulin for treating type-1 diabetes in the United States has nearly doubled over a five-year period.
Two U.S. Senators have launched an investigation into the rising prices, but drugmakers often argue they have to keep prices high because of the rebates they pay to insurance companies to get products on their lists of covered drugs.
