Preliminary Autopsy Results Released After Potter County Inmate Death

AMARILLO, Texas - The preliminary autopsy results of a Potter County inmate who died in custody earlier this week have been released.

The autopsy, performed on Thursday, May 3, shows Daniel Martinez's preliminary cause of death is suicide by self-asphyxia.

According to officials, Martinez died in the Potter County Detention Center on Tuesday, May 1 at around 10 p.m.
