Lindsay Black, operating partner of Uncorked Wine Bar and Grill celebrated National Wine Day by giving some tips on wine, and why people like to drink it.
“Wine is socially and culturally very important it plays a lot of different parts. There can be a social aspect of it but wine pairs so well with all of the food we eat that it really enhances your experience and brings people closer together,” Black stated.
Black said that it is always a good time for a glass of wine, especially during the cooler weather.
“This time of year it’s cold out, the winds blowing, sometimes there’s flurries and when that happens people love to drink a nice warm heat you up wine,” Black said.
According to Black, people often get deterred in the beginning when first drinking wine, simply because they are unsure of what type of wine they like and how to drink it.
For those who are new to wine, Black encourages people to do a wine tasting first.
“I encourage people all of the time to taste. It just builds that comfortability with wine and we try to take the pressure off by allowing you to like what you like,” Black explained.
