AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) –The Texas Panhandle is looking at snow showers continuing on and off into the evening Tuesday and some entities have already started to delay when they will open on Wednesday as snow could be packed tonight and tomorrow.

Chief Meteorologist John Harris said that temperature-wise, today’s highs will end up around the freezing mark of 32.  Partly sunny weather looks to return for tomorrow and Thursday with temps in the 40’s, while Friday and Saturday should top out in the 50’s. 

Use extreme caution if traveling, and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Texas Department of Public Safety Offices in multiple counties will delay opening until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, including:

  • Childress
  • Gray
  • Hale
  • Hemphill
  • Ochiltree
  • Swisher

Sherman County and District Clerks Office: Opens at 10 a.m. Wednesday
