A River Road High School Student has received the opportunity of a lifetime, after being invited to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston this summer.
The conference allows students to hear from and network with industry-leading medical professionals, including Nobel Prize winners.
“I expect to just learn from the best of the best pretty much,” Jonathan Malota said. “And to really decide if I want to decide for sure, if I want to be a biomedical engineer or maybe I want to switch to another medical field study.”
Students are recruited to attend the congress based on grades and interest. The 10th grader exceeded the requirements.
“Jonathan is your ideal student,” Assistant Principal Rachel Freeman explained. “He is extremely intelligent, very quiet, always does what he is supposed to be doing, and has an impeccable work ethic.”
The congress is held in Boston in June.
