UPDATE March 21, 5:31 p.m.

The City of Borger released more information regarding a shooting that left two people injured Monday night.

According to the city, on Monday, officers with the Borger Police Department were called to the 300 block of Madison St, on a call of shots fired.

Police said after an investigation they had identified suspects allegedly involved in the shooting and are obtaining warrants for their arrest. The suspects were not identified in the news release.

BPD said they are still investigating the incident.

BORGER, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Borger Police Department reports that two people were injured in a shooting in south Borger Monday night.

According to the department’s Facebook page, police are investigating a shooting in the 300 block of Madison. Police said two people were injured and taken to the hospital with one flown out by air ambulance.

Police said they have detained two “persons of interest” and there is no ongoing threat to the community. The BPD is investigating the incident.
