According to an update from the city of Amarillo, officials said the city’s Utility Billing Department will not be able to receive payments through Tuesday, stating that payments will not be available online or by phone.
According to the news release, released Monday by the city of Amarillo, customers do have access to mail-in payments or to place payments in a drop-off box, located next to the front entrance of City Hall at 601 S Buchanan St. However, officials said that no late fees will be charged and no interruptions in water service will occur through Tuesday.
Officials said there will be no change to current accounts once the billing system upgrade is complete. For water service emergencies, individuals are asked to call 806-378-6828

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials with the City of Amarillo announced that utility billing will be unable to receive payments online or over the phone on Monday morning Dec. 5.
According to a COA Facebook post, customers can still mail in payments or drop off payments at City Hall.
COA said there will be no late fees or penalties assessed during this period of the outage and no interruption of water service.
