League of Women Voters members and other volunteer deputy registrars will register voters at the Randall County Annex, 4111 S. Georgia, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow and next Monday and Tuesday.
Shannon Lackey, Randall County election administrator, invited the League to help with voter registration at the annex in Amarillo in preparation for the November 7 election.
Voters must be registered by October 10 to be able to vote on seven proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution, the $100 million Amarillo Independent School District bond proposal, a local-option liquor issue in Randall County Justice of the Peace Precinct #1, and a sales tax increase to create an Assistance District in the rural part of Potter County.
Those needing to register are citizens 18 or older or who will be 18 by Election Day who are not already registered or who have moved or changed their name, said Carolyn Barnett, LWV voter registration chair.
The League is a nonpartisan organization that encourages all citizens to take an informed, active part in their government and its political processes, she said..
Early voting begins October 23 and continues through November 3.
