KAMR Local 4’s General Manager Honored for Work in Community

One of our own here at KAMR Local 4 News is being honored for her work in the community.

KAMR Local 4’s General Manager, Brandy Sanchez, was chosen for the National Philanthropy Day Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award.

That is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in coordinating groups of donors and volunteers for major fundraising projects.

“Brandy is just a go-getter and she does what she says she is going to do,” said Harrington Cancer and Health Foundation Director of Development, Jodi Reid. “She is passionate about so many non-profits in our community, and she does so much to help us elevate the things that we can do to help us with awareness and she is just passionate. She is great to work with.”

“Honestly, I hear a lot that is, you know, say no, say no. I’m not a say no person even if I can just give a little tiny bit to someone,” said Sanchez. “I really like to have my hands in a lot of things. I feel like it is a good opportunity for them to understand who we are as a TV station and my team and just to get out and help.”

The National Philanthropy Day luncheon is coming up on November 15.
