It appears General Motors, the nation’s largest automaker, is set to settle the criminal case concerning faulty ignition switches that have been tied to 100 fatalities.
The Justice Department is expected make announcement Thursday.
This after GM recalled millions of cars and trucks to fix the faulty ignition switches.
The problem was discovered a decade before the recall was made.
GM has already admitted that it was wrong to delay issuing the recall.
A spokesman for GM refused to comment Wednesday when asked about the settlement.
