Ringo Starr is the latest rocker to cancel a concert in North Carolina over the state’s new law designed to limit bathroom access for transgender people.
Starr had been scheduled to play an amphitheater in Cary, North Carolina in June.
He issued a statement which said in part, “I’m sorry to disappoint my fans, but we need to take a stand against this hatred. spread peace and love.”
Katy Perry may be one step closer to buying a Los Angeles Convent.
Perry made a deal with the LA Archdiocese to buy the building, but two nuns claim their order owns it, and they want to sell it to a restaurateur.
Now, the LA Times reports, a judge is blocking the nuns’ deal, paving the way for Perry to acquire the convent.
No one knows what happens yet on season six of “Game of Thrones”: it’s the first time the hit show has gone beyond the storylines of George RR Martin’s novels, so they’re keeping things secret, not sending advance copies to journalists or industry insiders.
But according to Entertainment Weekly, at the season six premiere, the show’s producers said President Obama, who’s a huge fan of the show, wanted advance copies and after all, “he’s the leader of the free world.”
Everyone else will have to wait until the season premiere, April 24th.
