Hollywood Minute: Michael B. Jordan Joins Marvel

Casting news: Michael B. Jordan is joing the Marvel cinematic universe. 
The Hollywood Reporter says the actor has been cast in Marvel’s upcoming “Black Panther” movie. 
This makes the third film Jordan will act in under director Ryan Coogler. 
No word on what role Jordan will play. 
“Black Panther” stars Chadwick Boseman in the title role.
Cannes Film Festival news: International distribution rights to Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” have been picked up by STX Entertainment. 
Variety reports STX paid roughly $50-million to distribute the film overseas. 
“The Irishman” will reteam Scorsese with Robert De Niro for the first time since “Casino”.
More news out of Cannes as Steven Spielberg’s “The BFG” received it’s premiere at the film festival. 
Deadline Hollywood reports the movie received a four and a half minute standing ovation following the premiere. 
Disney has also released a second trailer for the movie, which opens in theaters on July 1st.
