DPS seized more than six pounds of heroin Monday after traffic stop in Carson County.
At 11:30 a.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2006 Dodge Ram, traveling east on I-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation.
The Trooper then discovered several plastic-wrapped packages of heroin in the rear corner panel areas inside the vehicle. The illegal drugs are worth approximately $830,000.
The driver – Martin Torres Calbillo, 26, of Las Vegas – and passenger – Lucy Spears, 68, of Okemah, Oklahoma – were arrested and charged with felony possession of a dangerous drug. Torres Calbillo and Spears were transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
The drugs allegedly were being transported from Las Vegas to Oklahoma City.
