Here’s How Long Your Condiments Will Really Last


Got condiments in the cupboard? How about the pantry or fridge?

Well, you may want to check the expiration date on them wherever they are.

The food marketing institute says there are some guidelines about when you should toss some of your favorite toppings.

Unopened ketchup, cocktail sauce, or chili sauce is good in the pantry for a year.

After opening, it’s good in the fridge for six months but only one month in the pantry.

You can keep mayonnaise unopened in the pantry for two to three months.

Once opened, it’s good in the fridge for two.

Mustard can remain both unopened in the pantry and in the fridge after being opened for 12 months.

It’s only good in the pantry after being opened for one month though.
