The Hope & Healing Place hosted its 10th Annual Half Marathon at the Amarillo National Bank on Saturday, May 18.
The HHP is a grieving center that provides support for families and individuals that are mourning deaths.
The half marathon was run by many in memory of loved ones.
Runners could compete in the race individually or with a team. with two runners, each could complete a half-marathon or they could compete with four people and all run a quarter of the distance.
It is not uncommon to see signs along the course saying “In memory of…” Those who did not want to run had the option of purchasing mile markers to support HHP.
The race started at 7 a.m.
