Salvation Army started the giving season with its Kettle Kickoff Day.
KAMR Local 4 News Chief Meteorologist John Harris, Meteorologist Chris Martin, Andy Justus, Meaghan Collier, and Clint Brakebill were there Friday afternoon to help collect donations and ring the bell.
“Just where you see a kettle at the store in front of one of the doors, you can make a donation,” Stephanie Pena, the Salvation Army Public Relations Director, said. “We also, this year, have QR codes on our red kettles. So if you don’t have cash, you can scan the QR code as long as you have the app and make a donation online.”
Donations can be made online or at the closest location with a kettle.
