Heart of The High Plains: Healthcare with Dignity

Heart of the High Plains

Heal The City was founded in September of 2014. Lisa Lloyd, Heal The City Development Director said, “there was a need in the community to be able to provide medical care to the uninsured.” Heal The City filled that need.

When patients step into the clinic, they have decided to take control of their medical needs. One way Heal The City continues to keep their patients coming back is through their chronic care program, Shalom.

Lloyd explained, “They’re more confident, they just feel really great about themselves and that’s really what’s so cool. They’re supporting one another, they’ve formed a community within Shalom.”

Last year, Heal The City provided care to more than 10,000 patients. That would not have been possible with the community volunteers and the support of the medical community.

Heal The City is located at 609 S. Carolina St. For more information call 806-231-0364 or visit their website.
