Heart of the High Plains: Christmas Roundup

News

You can start checking some of the items off your Christmas list this weekend.

All while helping to make sure area children can learn about art.

If you are looking for a one-stop shop when it comes to your Christmas shopping, the Amarillo Museum of Art Alliance is looking to help.

This weekend they are hosting their annual Christmas Roundup.

“We have two full halls this year. We are super excited. It is our biggest show that we have ever had so close to 200 vendors which is great,” Taylor Bonifield-Faught, the co-chair of Christmas Roundup.

Those vendors will be on hand offering everything you could need.

“There’s children’s clothing, there is jewelry, there are facial products, there are men’s things so we are really excited about all of the vendors we have coming here and we have them coming from all over,” added Bonifield-Faught.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Amarillo Museum of Art Alliance.

Which offers opportunities to children and adults through the year, including camps, tours, lab projects, and exhibitions.

“We raise money for the alliance so it goes to their education programs to 100% proceeds stays in Amarillo, so we don’t send any money anywhere else it all stays here,” added Bonified-Faught.

Along with the shopping, there will also be plenty of holiday festivities.

Shoppers can also go by Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.

Friday evening from 5 to 8 for cocktails and shopping.

Saturday from 10 to 12, when Santa and Mrs. Claus will actually stop by.

The event continues Sunday from 11 to 4.
