After a two-year run hosting his own daytime talk show, Harry Connick Junior’s latest endeavor is using his piano skills to teach the world to play.”
Connick Jr. says, “People tell me all the time, ‘Man, I should have kept up my piano lessons as a kid. I wish I played, you know. When I see you play, makes me want to play.”
A long-time advocate for music education, Harry is teaming with “Playground Sessions,” a piano learning app.
Connick Jr. says, “Technology can be so, so helpful in so many ways, and This is a great opportunity. I don’t want to put any piano teachers out of work because I think that going to the piano teacher is an amazing way to learn how to play. It’s also very expensive, and at times inconvenient.”
As for what’s next, Harry says he’s keeping his future options open.
Connick Jr. says, “I would like to do some more things for Broadway. We’re Working on some stuff for that, for some television and film projects. Going into the studio. Making, you know, more music, so, there’s a, there’s a lot of stuff to do. More touring. We have a lot of stuff happening in 2019 That I’m, that I’m really excited about.”
