Today, the Amarillo Independent School District honored their students for their hard work all semester and their achievements.
There was a luncheon for students who received the Superintendent’s Scholar Distinction for both the semesters in the school year.
“Especially in terms of Superintendent Scholar’s, it’s more about grades,” Talon Lewis, a senior at Tascosa High who earned this award, stated. “So studying is a lot more important when it comes to earning this prestigious award.”
In order to achieve this award, a student must make at least a 95 average in regular courses and a 90 average in A.P. courses. Students must also take at least five classes.
