Former Goodwell Public Schools teacher arrested for molestation, child abuse

News

A former teacher for Goodwell Public Schools has been arrested for molestation and child abuse.

Back in February, the Texas County Sheriff’s Office said they got reports from Goodwell Public School concerning allegations of inappropriate sexual misconduct involving Luke Loganbill, a former teacher.

The sheriff’s office said after a formal investigation, a felony arrest warrant was issued for Loganbill on four counts of Lewd Molestation and four counts of Child Abuse.

On April 17, Texas County Deputies and Morton County Sheriff’s Deputies served a search warrant on Loganbill’s home in Elkhart, Kansas.

Loganbill was arrested in Steven’s County Kansas the next day and taken to the Texas County Detention Center.

On Wednesday, April 24, Loganbill’s bond was set at $25,000, and he has since bonded out.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing at this time.
