Flu Cases Rising in Texas Panhandle

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) released their latest surveillance report on the Flu in Texas.

The last week reported is for February 4, 2018, through February 10, 2018.

DSHS reported that the flu activity has increased in the Amarillo Health Service Region (Health Service Region 1).

Texas Public Health Laboratories are reporting that Flu A (H1N1), Flu A (H3N2), Flu B (Yamagata) and Flu B (Victoria) are being reported across the state.

The DSHS is also reporting that 4,153 people have died from Pneumonia and influenza this year.  148 of those deaths were in our region.
