The Veteran Resource Center is hosting a flag-raising ceremony today at 11:30 a.m. in the courtyard at the VRC’s 10th & Taylor facility.
The flag-pole is 30′ and the flag is 5′ by 8′.
The flag and pole were made possible by VFW Post 430, Mr. and Mrs. James Padgett, Xcel Energy, and Central Baptist Church.
The VRC is a division of Family Support Services. The VRC serves as a one-stop to help veterans, dependents and surviving spouses with employment, housing, basic needs, counseling services, and assistance with accessing benefits. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Services are provided at no charge to the client.
