Extra funds are being used to help struggling readers at Westover Park Junior High.
It was part of this year’s fall grant awards by the Education Foundation of Canyon ISD.
The school received $5,000, and officials say the money will help provide an entire room full of quality literature and high-interest books that students can get into on their own level.
Westover Park is not the only CISD school getting a financial boost.
Greenways Intermediate, Gene Howe Elementary, and Randall High School are also getting thousands of dollars.
More than $18,000 is being distributed and awarded among the schools.
