Drunk teacher arrested in Kentucky

A substitute teacher at a Kentucky middle school is behind bars after authorities said she was teaching a class while drunk.

Police say this woman, 32-year-old Brook Ellen West, was arrested Monday after she admitted to authorities she took four vodka shots around 11 a.m.

Deputies say West smelled like alcohol and was unsteady on her feet.

A student at Royal Springs Middle School says she yelled and cursed at kids.

A breathalyzer test revealed West had a .31 blood alcohol content.

She is charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and endangering the welfare of a minor.
