AMARILLO – DPS conducted a traffic stop Monday on I-40, yielding over 118 pounds of marijuana valued at over $716,000.
 
At 1:29 p.m., a DPS trooper pulled over 31-year-old Teuta Hajdini and 27-year-old Adelina Dedvukai for a traffic violation, near Amarillo in Potter County.
 
During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered the marijuana in the trunk of a 2014 Hyundai Elantra.
 
Hajdini and Dedvukai were placed under arrest for possession and delivery of marijuana over 50 pounds but less than 2,000 pounds, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Potter County Jail. 

The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Tempe, Ariz., to Dearborn, Mich.
