DPS Seizes 99 Pounds of Marijuana during Traffic Stop

DPS seized over 99 pounds of marijuana Saturday after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Potter County. 

At 9:58 a.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2007 Chevrolet pickup traveling east on I-40 near Amarillo, for a traffic violation. The Trooper then discovered multiple vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in the truck bed.

The driver was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana.  The driver was transported and booked into the Potter County Jail. 

The drugs allegedly were being transported from Tulare, California to New Jersey.
