DPS Finds Guns, Drugs, and Cash in two NE Amarillo Homes

Search warrants also resulted in two arrests

AMARILLO, TX - Two men were arrested and thousands of dollars in cash were seized from two homes during a drug bust this weekend. It happened last Sunday afternoon in NE Amarillo. 

Texas DPS along with other agencies conducted a search warrant at a home in the 3600 block of NE 16th St. in Amarillo.

They found almost 10 pounds of meth and 3 ounces of cocaine. They also arrested Eduardo Gutierrez of Amarillo at that house.

A second home in the 6700 block of NE 17th was then searched. Officials say the second house was found in connection with the first one.

They found more drugs, guns, and approximately $15,000 in cash in the second house. There, they also arrested Romero Camacho of Amarillo.

The investigation is ongoing.
