DPS: Dumas Resident Dies in Sherman County Wreck Thursday

DPS is reporting that 60-year-old Kimball Hiner died after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing Thursday morning.

Officials say Hiner was driving his 2001 Chevy Tracker north on FM-119 when he fell asleep.

The vehicle veered off to the west the roadway, went airborne and crashed into the ground on its nose.

Hiner was not wearing a seat belt.
