Dogs Save Foster Kids Wandering Along Highway

News

Two dogs making sure two children in Florida weren’t harmed as they were found wandering along the highway.

According to police, the two foster children — both under the age of six — were seen walking alone over the weekend near the interstate in Okaloosa County.

A witness, who called the police to inform them about the children, said the kids were with two dogs.  Who were walking between the children and the busy highway — pushing the children back if they got too close to the road.

Police say the children were playing in their front yard when they took off.

Their foster father was unable to go after them because of a health condition.

Police say the foster father did contact police and made a diligent effort to locate the children.

There will be no charges filed.

That witness going on to say he believed the two children would not be alive if not for the two dogs by their side.
