Another fire has also started up this evening in Hutchinson County.
At last check, that one was contained at five percent and had burned 1000 acres.
More than 20 departments joined the fight in Hutchinson County where crews are battling what they are calling the Bowers Ranch Fire.
A little more than 8,200 acres have burned with 85% containment as of this evening.
The Borger Office of Emergency Management’s Facebook page said the active fire was in the Canadian riverbed, which is a hard place to reach.
The Texas Forest Service sent out a tweet saying, “Three homes were threatened by the fire earlier and were saved due to teamwork from departments.”
