Uber Suspending Self-Driving Car Tests

Uber is temporarily suspending self-driving cars tests after a deadly accident in Tempe, Arizona.

Self-driving programs in San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, and Toronto will be put on hold.

The move comes after a pedestrian was hit and killed Sunday night by an Uber self-driving car.

This is file video of the company’s self-driving cars and not the one involved in the accident.

It is believed to be the first pedestrian fatality caused by a self-driving car.

According to police, there was a vehicle operator inside the car at the time of the accident, but no passengers.

Google Shopping Actions

Google is teaming up with some giant retailers to turn product searches into revenue.

The new program, called Shopping Actions, will allow companies to list their products and loyalty programs on Google’s various search platforms, and Google Home devices.

In exchange, the retailers will pay Google a cut of each purchase.

Some of the retailers on board include Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Costco, and more all looking to compete with e-commerce rivals.

Google says it’s an opportunity to give retailers increased exposure while helping shoppers find their items online.

Free Cone Day at Dairy Queen

It’s the first day of spring and that means there’s a sweet giveaway to celebrate!

It’s the fourth annual free cone day at Dairy Queen.

That means participating non-mall Dairy Queen and DQ Grill and Chill locations across the country will offer up a free small cone of vanilla soft serve today.

Dairy Queen will also be collecting donations for local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

Last year, DQ contributed nearly $300,000 in one day to local hospitals.
