Consumer News – F-150 Shortage

Treating Pets for Ticks and Fleas

Ticks and fleas can be dangerous for our furry friends year round but with summer just around the corner, pet owners may not be prepared.

Fleas and ticks can spread serious illnesses to dogs and cats, including Lyme Disease, which can be fatal to our four-legged friends.

To keep pets safe from fleas and ticks, consult a vet to get their proper protection. Regularly check your animals for any infestations and remember that indoor pets are just as much at risk as outdoor pets.

F-150 Shortage

Ford could face a shortage of its best selling and most profitable truck.

Production of the F-150 pick-up truck is being crippled after a fire last week at a parts plant in Michigan.

Now, employees at the plant have been alerted production there could be stopped later this week.

That would force Ford to temporarily lay off thousands of workers until it can get assembly lines running again.

There’s no word on how long the shutdowns could last or how it will impact dealerships.

Pretty Please with Google’s Home Assistant

Google’s home assistant has a new feature and it is ready to be polite.

It’s called “pretty please.”

The feature was announced at Google’s I/O developer’s conference.

“Pretty please” enforces manners and even prompts your child to use the magic words when they give a command.

Consumers can expect to see the new feature starting this summer.
